Job description

Future Scholars is seeking an Infant Co-Head Teacher for our Infant room. The ideal candidate must:

1. Be over 21 years old
2. Hold an Infant Head Teacher certificate
3. Be nurturing with a lively personality
4. Interact effectively with infants to meet their developmental needs
5. Encourage skill development through targeted play
6. Use calming methods to soothe distressed infants
7. Ensure the safety of each infant
8. Create and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with the CT ELDS
9. Have a basic understanding of NAEYC standards
10. Build connections with families
11. Work independently and collaboratively with a co-teacher
12. Follow all policies on diaper changing, handwashing, feeding, and cleaning
13. Be willing to obtain CPR, FIRST AID, Med, and EpiPen certifications
14. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform whole body movements including kneeling, bending, lifting, holding, turning, and moving

The position is from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
