Job summary

KinderKids Learning Center in Daphne, Alabama is seeking an Infant Childcare Teacher to provide warm, responsive care for infants. The role focuses on building trust, supporting early development, and creating a safe, engaging classroom.

You will follow care routines, document daily updates, and collaborate with co-teachers and families. We offer a Monday–Friday schedule with competitive pay and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Patience, empathy, professionalism, and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift and carry infants and stay active.

Responsibilities

  • Provide warm, responsive, and nurturing care for infants
  • Follow individual feeding, sleeping, diapering, and care routines
  • Create engaging experiences through tummy time, sensory play, books, music, movement, and outdoor play
  • Support infants as they reach important developmental milestones
  • Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and welcoming classroom
  • Record bottles, meals, diapers, naps, activities, and daily updates
  • Communicate professionally and positively with families
  • Maintain active supervision and follow all safety, ratio, licensing requirements
  • Work closely with co-teachers, support staff, and school leadership

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For


  • At least 19 years of age

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Dependable attendance and punctuality

  • Patience, empathy, professionalism, and attention to detail

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Ability to lift and carry infants and remain active throughout the day

  • Ability to meet Alabama childcare licensing and background-check requirements

  • Willingness to complete required training and professional development



Preferred Qualifications


  • Previous experience working with infants in a childcare center, daycare, preschool, nursery, or early learning program

  • Child Development Associate credential

  • Degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Elementary Education, or a related field

  • Pediatric First Aid and CPR certification

  • Knowledge of infant development and safe sleep practices
