KinderKids Learning Center in Daphne, Alabama seeks an Assistant Childcare Teacher / Floater to join our caring team. You’ll support lead teachers, help with meals and routines, and maintain a safe, engaging environment for children from infancy through Pre-K.

Experience helps, but reliability, a positive attitude, and a love for children matter most. This is a great entry path with opportunities to grow into lead roles in a supportive setting.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 19 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality required.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Patience, energy, professionalism, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work well as part of a team.
• Ability to pass state and federal background checks.
• Ability to work an eight‑hour shift Monday–Friday 6:45 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and be active throughout the day.
• Ability to supervise and respond to children at all times.

Responsibilities

• Support lead teachers with classroom care, routines, and learning activities.
• Assist with meals, diapering, toileting, naps, transitions, and outdoor play.
• Help maintain active supervision and a safe classroom environment.
• Update daily activity logs and communicate professionally with families.
• Assist with classroom cleaning, sanitizing, organization, and setup.
• Document children’s learning through observations, photos, and videos.
• Provide support in different classrooms as needed.
• Work cooperatively with teachers, administrators, and support staff

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and regularly sit, stand, bend, kneel, and move throughout the day
• Ability to see, hear, supervise, and respond to children at all times

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a childcare center, daycare, preschool, school, camp, or similar setting
• Coursework or credentials in Early Childhood Education or Child Development
• Pediatric First Aid and CPR certification
