Education and Experience:

1. At least 18 years of age (25 if responsible for driving a bus).
2. Hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
3. Minimum of 1-year experience working with the specified age group.
4. Knowledge and understanding of all current State and Local regulations.

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Provide a positive and nurturing environment for children.
2. Ensure the health and safety of children, minimizing accidents.
3. Maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom areas, including bathrooms.
4. Arrange the classroom with no running spaces, using shelves as dividers, and keep materials and supplies at child level.
5. Display and label toys and manipulatives attractively on shelves.
6. Enrich classroom learning centers with teacher-made materials, real objects, and multicultural items.
7. Ensure equipment is used properly and teach children to do the same.
8. Maintain all required bulletin boards according to guidelines.
9. Provide consistent supervision of all children; never leave children unattended. Know the number, ages, and identities of children at all times.
10. Post lesson plans and submit supply lists regularly.
11. Ensure lesson plans align with current curriculum requirements.
12. Plan and implement effective transitions and maintain an organized daily schedule.
