Job summary

Garden City is seeking enthusiastic team players to join our child care team. You will engage with children through interactive play, stories and songs, while building positive relationships with families and staff in a warm, faith-based environment.

The role emphasizes safety, nurturing guidance, and daily communication with parents. Candidates should bring 6+ months in a child care setting and a valid background check. Bilingual abilities are a plus.

Qualifications

• TB Test required.
• Fingerprint Clearance Card required.
• Food Handlers Card required.
• First Aid/CPR - Child/Infant and Adult (In Person Training only)
• High School Diploma or GED
• 25 hours of professional development online or in person annually - Free to employee
• 6+ months experience in a child care setting
• An open heart, endless enthusiasm, and a lively personality that fits perfectly with our vibrant atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Engage with infants through interactive play, stories and songs.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, parents and team members.
• Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of the children at all times.

What You'll Do

Duties include but not limited to:

• Love children!!
• Pray for the children, families, and team at Garden City on a regular basis
• Engage with infants through interactive play, stories and songs
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, parents and team members
• Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of the children at all times, being alert for the needs and/or problems of the children as individuals and as a group
• Prepare weekly lesson plansKeep parents informed daily how their child did that day
• Have fun!!
