Job summary

Kid Country Childcare in Manhattan, IL is seeking a dedicated full-time infant caregiver to join our classroom team. You will provide loving, consistent care, follow each baby’s routines, and partner with families to support growth.

You’ll help with feeding, diapering, safe sleep, and daily activities like tummy time, songs, stories and floor play that promote motor, language, and social-emotional development, while keeping the room clean and safe.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 19 with a high school diploma or GED.
• 60 semester hours with 6 in child care/development or 30 hours plus 1,560 hours experience.
• CDA/CCP or Gateways ECE credential or higher.

Responsibilities

• Provide consistent, loving care to help babies bond with a familiar caregiver.
• Follow each infant's feeding and nap schedule; coordinate with families.
• Bottle feed, change diapers, and comfort babies patiently.
• Follow safe sleep practices at every nap.
• Plan tummy time, sensory play, songs, stories and floor activities to support development.
• Provide daily updates to families on feedings, diapers, naps, and milestones.
• Maintain a clean, safe, sanitized classroom.
