Apple Montessori Schools is seeking a Teacher Assistant for Infant care in Westfield, NJ. The role supports Lead Teachers to foster independence and confidence in a Montessori setting, encouraging curiosity and personal growth.

You will help maintain a safe, engaging classroom, assist with family communication, and participate in ongoing professional development. The position is part-time, with morning or afternoon shifts, aligned to school hours.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• CPR/First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.
• A genuine love of children.
• Physically able to kneel, bend, squat, lift, push, pull, and carry children
• An understanding of health and safety guidelines.
• Capacity to multi-task and function in an ever-changing environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe, clean, and engaging learning environment for all students
• Collaborate with the Lead Teacher to support and implement lesson plans
• Maintain accurate student records and assist with family communication
• Encourage positive self-image while supporting individuality, independence, and creativity
• Model appropriate social behavior and actively engage with students
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, trainings, and mentorship programs
