Job summary

The Learning Experience - Byron Center in Michigan is seeking an Infant Lead Teacher to guide our youngest learners in a warm, responsive classroom. You will lead daily routines, support feeding, naps, and schedules, and collaborate with Assistant Teachers to create a safe, engaging environment.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or GED, infant care experience, and a strong understanding of early development.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Lead Teacher or Infant classroom experience preferred.
• Must meet Michigan childcare licensing requirements.
• CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily routines and learning experiences in the Infant classroom.
• Provide attentive care including feeding, diapering, naps, and individualized schedules.
• Create age-appropriate sensory and developmental activities.
• Support early language, cognitive, physical, and social-emotional development.
• Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and nurturing classroom.
• Guide and collaborate with Assistant Teachers.
• Observe developmental milestones and communicate regularly with families.
• Maintain required classroom records and documentation.
• Follow Michigan childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements.
