Job summary

The Learning Experience - South Lyon Area, MI is seeking an experienced Infant Lead Teacher to nurture babies, support milestones, and lead an infant classroom. This full-time role offers $18-$21 per hour, depending on experience, and runs Monday through Friday.

You will implement the LEAP curriculum, support development across physical, cognitive, and social areas, and communicate regularly with families and fellow teachers while upholding Michigan licensing standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Relevant professional childcare experience is required.
• Infant classroom experience strongly preferred.
• CDA or ECE coursework or credential preferred.
• Must meet Michigan Lead Caregiver requirements.
• Nurturing, dependable, patient, and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Lead a safe, nurturing, and engaging Infant classroom
• Provide individualized feeding, diapering, sleep, and daily care routines
• Implement The Learning Experience's L.E.A.P. Curriculum
• Create sensory, movement, language, and early learning experiences
• Support physical, cognitive, and social-emotional development
• Follow safe sleep, sanitation, health, and safety procedures
• Observe developmental milestones and maintain classroom documentation
• Build trusting relationships and communicate regularly with families
• Guide and collaborate with Assistant Teachers
• Maintain Michigan childcare licensing standards
