Job summary

The Learning Experience – South Lyon Township is seeking an Infant Lead Teacher to create a warm, responsive classroom for our youngest learners. This full-time role offers Monday–Friday scheduling and opportunities for growth.

You will support infants with attentive care, guided routines, and developmentally appropriate activities while meeting Michigan licensing requirements. Competitive pay and benefits accompany this position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Infant or childcare classroom experience preferred.
• Lead Teacher experience preferred.
• CDA or ECE coursework is a plus.
• Must meet Michigan licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily routines in infant classroom.
• Support feeding, diapering, sleep schedules.
• Implement age-appropriate sensory and early learning activities.
• Support physical, cognitive, language, and social-emotional development.
• Follow safe sleep, sanitation, health practices.
• Observe developmental progress and maintain classroom records.
• Build trusting relationships and communicate regularly with families.
• Guide and collaborate with classroom support teachers.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and developmentally appropriate classroom.
• Follow Michigan childcare licensing requirements.

Infant Lead Teacher – Early Childhood Education

Location: The Learning Experience – South Lyon Township, MI

Pay: $17–$21 per hour, based on experience and credentials

Bubbles Reliability Reward Bonus: Earn an additional $100 per month for six months after successfully completing your first 90 days with consistent attendance

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday

The Learning Experience – South Lyon Township is seeking a nurturing and experienced Infant Lead Teacher to create a warm, responsive classroom for our youngest learners.

Our Infant Lead Teachers combine attentive care with meaningful early learning experiences. Through responsive interactions, individualized routines, sensory exploration, and movement, you’ll help infants feel safe and secure while supporting important developmental milestones.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily routines in a safe and nurturing Infant classroom
• Support individualized feeding, diapering, sleep, and care schedules
• Implement age-appropriate sensory, movement, language, and early learning experiences
• Support physical, cognitive, language, and social-emotional development
• Follow appropriate safe sleep, sanitation, health, and safety practices
• Observe developmental progress and maintain required classroom documentation
• Build trusting relationships and communicate regularly with families
• Guide and collaborate with classroom support teachers
• Maintain a clean, organized, and developmentally appropriate classroom
• Follow Michigan childcare licensing requirements

Qualifications

• Previous professional infant or childcare classroom experience strongly preferred
• Lead Teacher experience preferred
• CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework is a plus
• Strong understanding of infant development and responsive caregiving

• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to meet Michigan childcare licensing requirements
