Job summary

Thrive Early Learning is seeking an Infant Lead Teacher to create a warm, safe, and engaging environment for our youngest learners. You will lead the classroom, build strong relationships with families, and support each child’s development through intentional care and meaningful interactions.

You will implement developmentally appropriate activities, oversee assistants, and ensure adherence to licensing and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• CDA credential or higher required.
• Experience working with infants in a licensed setting preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Reliable, organized, and a true team player

Responsibilities

• Lead the daily operations of the infant classroom in a calm, safe environment.
• Provide attentive, individualized care including feeding, diapering, and soothing.
• Create and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with GELDS.
• Foster strong relationships with infants through loving interactions.
• Maintain open communication with families, including daily updates.
• Ensure the classroom complies with health and safety regulations.
• Supervise and support assistant teachers, providing guidance.
• Observe and document children’s development and milestones.
• Follow licensing guidelines and center policies.

We are seeking a nurturing, reliable, and passionate Infant Lead Teacher to create a safe, loving, and engaging environment for our youngest learners. This role is responsible for leading the classroom, building strong relationships with families, and supporting each child’s early development through intentional care and meaningful interactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the daily operations of the infant classroom, ensuring a calm, safe, and responsive environment
• Provide attentive, individualized care including feeding, diapering, and soothing
• Create and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with early learning standards (such as GELDS)
• Foster strong, positive relationships with infants through consistent, loving interactions
• Maintain open and professional communication with families, including daily updates
• Ensure the classroom is clean, organized, and fully compliant with all health and safety regulations
• Supervise and support assistant teachers, providing guidance and clear expectations
• Observe and document children’s development and milestones
• Follow all licensing guidelines and center policies

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry infants
• Ability to sit, bend, and move between floor and standing positions frequently
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time

Qualifications

• CDA (Child Development Associate) credential or higher required
• Experience working with infants in a licensed childcare setting preferred
• Strong understanding of infant development and responsive caregiving
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
