Job summary

The Learning Experience is hiring an Infant Lead Teacher to create a warm, responsive classroom for our youngest learners in Grand Rapids, MI. You will lead an infant cohort, provide consistent routines, and support early development with engaging activities.

You will collaborate with a team to plan developmentally appropriate experiences, maintain safety standards, and communicate regularly with families, while following licensing requirements and policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; infant childcare experience preferred.
• CDA, ECE coursework or related credentials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a safe, nurturing, and engaging Infant classroom.
• Provide responsive care following feeding, diapering, and sleep schedules.
• Create age-appropriate sensory, movement, language, and early learning experiences.
• Support physical, cognitive, language, and social-emotional development.
• Follow safe sleep, sanitation, health, and safety procedures.
• Observe developmental progress and maintain classroom documentation.
• Build trusting relationships and communicate regularly with families.
• Guide and collaborate with Assistant Teachers.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom.
• Follow Michigan childcare licensing requirements.

Infant Lead Teacher – Early Childhood Education
The Learning Experience –Cascade (Grand Rapids, MI)

Pay: $17–$21 per hour, based on experience and credentials
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday

The Learning Experience is seeking a nurturing and experienced Infant Lead Teacher to create a warm, responsive classroom for our youngest learners.

Our Infant Lead Teachers combine attentive care with meaningful early learning experiences. Through individualized routines, sensory exploration, movement, and positive interactions, you’ll help babies feel safe and secure while supporting important developmental milestones.

What You’ll Do

• Lead a safe, nurturing, and engaging Infant classroom

What We’re Looking For

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Previous professional childcare or early childhood education experience strongly preferred
• Infant classroom experience preferred
• Lead Teacher experience is a plus
• CDA, Early Childhood Education coursework, or related credentials preferred
• Patient, nurturing, dependable, and team-oriented
• Must meet applicable Michigan childcare licensing requirements
