Job summary

Trinity Health is seeking a Nutrition Technician to follow established procedures for preparing specialty infant formulas and human milk in the inpatient setting. You will perform calculations and manage inventory in the infant formula preparation room, ensuring aseptic technique under the supervision of a registered dietitian.

You’ll screen patients, provide nutrition education, and document in the EHR, supporting safe feeding practices in a regulated clinical environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition or related health field required.
• Experience: Less than one year preferred.
• Illinois Food Handler Certification required (may be obtained after hire).
• NDTR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare specialized infant formulas and human milk fortifications.
• Maintain sanitation and safety per HACCP and aseptic technique.
• Print and apply feeding labels with patient identification and expiry details.
• Verify orders and recipes in collaboration with dietitians and nurses.
• Document all preparations in the EHR and perform quality checks.
