Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking an Infant Feeding Prep Tech to calculate, prepare, and deliver human milk and infant formula per provider orders for all infants in the Special Care Nursery.

Responsibilities include inventory control, sanitation recordkeeping, and operating feeding prep equipment while maintaining rigorous sanitation policies; QA activities and continuous improvement are part of the role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferred: 1 year of Infant Feeding Prep Tech experience.
• Preferred: Infant Feeding Technician Certification Course (Ohio State University) within 2 years of hire date.
• Preferred: knowledge of medical terminology and basic computer skills.

Performs inventory, completes temperature/sanitation records and schedules, operates feeding preparation equipment, maintains sanitation policy and procedures in the Infant Feeding Prep area, and performs quality improvement activities.

Performs inventory, completes temperature/sanitation records and schedules, operates feeding preparation equipment, maintains proper sanitation policy and procedures in Infant Feeding Prep (IFP) area, and performs quality improvement activities.a

REQUIRED

1. High school diploma or equivalent.

PREFERRED

1. One (1) year of experience as an Infant Feeding Prep Tech.
2. Completion of Ohio State University: Infant Feeding Technician Certification Course within 2 years of hire date.
3. Demonstrated knowledge of basic computer skills.
4. Demonstrated knowledge and skill in sterilization and aseptic techniques. Knowledge of medical terminology.
