Job summary

Ivy Kids LLC is seeking an Assistant Teacher to help plan and implement daily curriculum for children, modeling Conscious Discipline and guiding behavior. You will maintain records, ensure safety and cleanliness, and communicate progress to parents daily.

You will also coordinate with the director, conduct parent conferences, and mentor junior staff while following state standards and Ivy Kids policies.

Qualifications

• Must meet state licensing requirements for age, education, and experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in early education.
• Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or a CDA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans and implements curriculum activities promoting social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
• Maintains accurate records of developmental milestones, accidents, attendance, and reports to director.
• Executes sanitation and safety procedures, ensuring classroom and play areas are clean and safe.
• Creates developmentally appropriate classroom environments per Ivy Kids guidelines.
• Plans parent conferences and writes communications to parents via Procare.
• Supervises and mentors assistant teachers and training new staff.
• Communicates with families and participates in staff meetings and trainings.
