Job summary

You will lead a team of teachers, provide developmentally appropriate activities, and collaborate with parents to support each child’s growth while upholding program standards and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate’s Degree in ECE or related field.
• Prior childcare experience.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Maine childcare provider background check.
• CPR, First Aid, AED certifications, and child abuse prevention training within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Leads a team of assistant and support teachers to operate an infant classroom while supervising infants at all times.
• Provides developmentally appropriate learning experiences tailored to infants’ needs.
• Communicates with children using positive language and interactive routines.
• Implements consistent behavior management aligned with program philosophy.
• Keeps mealtime safe, supportive, and engaging.
• Recognizes individual needs and respects diverse backgrounds.
