Job summary

The Nurturing Nook in Fox Point is a licensed childcare center seeking an Assistant Teacher to support the Infant classroom. We offer a family-oriented, close-knit environment with competitive pay and a generous benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year experience in a licensed classroom setting.
• Intro to Childcare must be completed.
• Ability to pass all background checks.

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher with all aspects of the classroom in a manner consistent with the philosophy and goals of the center.
• Implement activities that encourage each child’s growth in the areas of emotion, social, cognitive, creative, and physical development.
• Take direction, accept constructive criticism, and feedback, and make improvements and changes as necessary for the betterment of the quality of the program.
• Create and maintain an environment that is clean and safe for all children.
• Establishing a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.
• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
