KinderKids Learning Center in Daphne, Alabama seeks an Infant Childcare Teacher to provide warm, responsive care for infants, follow feeding and care routines, and create engaging, developmentally appropriate activities. The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with opportunities for professional development and advancement within a licensed childcare program serving infants through Pre-K.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Patience, empathy, professionalism, and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to lift and carry infants and stay active all day.
• Must meet Alabama childcare licensing and background check requirements.
• Willingness to complete required training and professional development.
• Child Development Associate credential (preferred).
• Degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field.
• Pediatric First Aid and CPR certification.
• Knowledge of infant development and safe sleep practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide warm, responsive care for infants.
• Follow individual feeding, diapering, and care routines.
• Create engaging experiences through tummy time, sensory play, books, music, movement, and outdoor play.
• Support infants as they reach developmental milestones.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized classroom.
• Record bottles, meals, diapers, naps, activities, and daily updates.
• Communicate professionally with families.
• Maintain active supervision and follow safety, ratio, safe sleep, and licensing requirements.
• Work closely with co-teachers, support staff, and school leadership.

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For

• At least 19 years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Dependable attendance and punctuality
• Patience, empathy, professionalism, and attention to detail
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to lift and carry infants and remain active throughout the day
• Ability to meet Alabama childcare licensing and background-check requirements
• Willingness to complete required training and professional development

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working with infants in a childcare center, daycare, preschool, nursery, or early learning program
• Child Development Associate credential
• Degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Elementary Education, or a related field
• Pediatric First Aid and CPR certification
• Knowledge of infant development and safe sleep practices
