Infant Auditory Screening Technician - Days

At NewYork-Presbyterian, Infant Auditory Screening Technicians thriveas invaluable care providers. Together, we serve as points of contact for patients and their families. Be a true partner with our care team for infants and neonatals.Under the direct supervision of the Neonatal Patient Care Director,you will perform Auditory screening of newborns, ensuring that these services are consistent with the philosophy, goals and standards of quality of the American Speech and Hearing Association, as well as the NYS DOH Newborn Hearing Screening Regulations.

Duties include performing newborn infant hearing screenings using Otoacoustic Emissions and Auditory Brainstem response equipment, documenting screening results into patient chart using the hospital based electronic medical record, and communicating directly and sharing complete information with families in order to have them effectively participate in care and decision making.

This is a full time, day shift position located at New-York Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center. Hours can be flexible with start time and will include rotating weekends and holidays.

Required Criteria

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Good interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as attention to detail

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.

NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.
