Job summary

The Learning Experience - Hudson Yards is seeking an Infant Assistant Teacher to join our early childhood team in New York, NY. You will support daily routines in an Infant classroom and help create a warm, safe environment for babies.

You will work full-time, Monday-Friday, with paid training and professional development, and you’ll be part of a supportive teaching and leadership team committed to growth and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous childcare or experience working with infants preferred.
• Patient, nurturing, reliable, and team-oriented.
• Must meet applicable New York City childcare requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support daily routines in an Infant classroom
• Assist with feeding, diapering, sleep, and individualized care routines
• Engage infants through sensory play, movement, music, and language
• Support early developmental milestones
• Provide attentive supervision and responsive care
• Maintain a clean, safe, and nurturing classroom
• Build positive relationships with children and families
• Collaborate with Lead Teachers and center leadership
• Follow applicable New York City childcare requirements
