Job summary

TRF Children & Family Services seeks an Infant Assistant Teacher to help create a safe, nurturing infant/toddler classroom and implement Emergent Curriculum. You will support daily routines and develop engaging activities tailored to each child’s needs, interests, and schedule.

You will observe development, document milestones, and collaborate with families to support learning in a warm, home-like environment. The role emphasizes safety, responsiveness, and professional growth.

Qualifications

• 12 Units in Early Childhood Education including 3 Units in Infant/Toddler
• Assistant Teacher Permit from CCTC required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills in English

Responsibilities

• Assist with Emergent Curriculum and weekly lesson planning.
• Observe child development and document milestones.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment.
• Support diapering, meals, snacks, naps, and daily routines.
• Build positive, respectful relationships with children and families.
