Job summary

Kids N Fitness North is a licensed childcare center seeking Assistant Teachers to support our Infant classroom. The position requires a high school diploma or GED and the ability to pass background checks. A plus if you have previous childcare experience!

• Assist the lead teacher with all classroom activities in line with center goals.
• Implement activities to foster growth in emotional, social, cognitive, creative, and physical development.
• Take direction, accept feedback, and improve the program as needed.
• Create and maintain a clean and safe environment for all children.
• Establish professional rapport with families to provide quality care.
• Physically able to work around children and lift up to 40 lbs.

MainJob Responsibilities:

• Assistthe lead teacher with all aspectsof the classroomin a manner consistent with the philosophy and goals of the center.
• Implement activitiesthatencourage each child’s growth in the areas of emotion, social, cognitive, creative,and physical development.
• Take direction, accept constructive criticism,and feedback, and make improvements and changes as necessary for the betterment of the quality of the program.
• Createandmaintainan environment that is clean and safe for all children.
• Establishing a professional level of rapport with each family toprovidequality care for the children.
• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running,and climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
