Job summary

Primrose School of Castle Rock in Castle Rock, CO is seeking a Teacher to guide infants and preschoolers in a structured, balanced learning program. You will supervise a classroom under a set schedule, typically 8:00am-5:00pm or 8:30am-5:30pm, Monday through Friday, with weekends, nights and holidays off.

You will help children build confidence, language and literacy, science and life skills in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Must meet credential requirements from Colorado Shines.
• PDIS Level 1 or 2+, OR EQUIT, Pyramid Plus, ECE 101/303, AS/BS Degree in ECE, or equivalent.
• Infant Nursery Supervisor (INS) Certification preferred.
• 1-3 years experience teaching in a licensed early education program, PreK, preschool, childcare, or day care.
• Knowledge of the social, emotional, and creative needs of young children.
• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in relation to child handling and safety.

Responsibilities

• Is responsible for the overall supervision and daily class functions of a group of children.
• Assesses each child's developmental needs on an ongoing basis.
• Implements the approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule.
• Plans parent-teacher conferences and student evaluations with Leadership Team.
• Maintains an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages exploration and confidence.
• Observes rules and regulations pertaining to child health, safety and care.
