Job summary

Chip Ganassi Racing is seeking an experienced INDYCAR Rear End Mechanic / Performance Development to prepare and service race cars before events. You will travel with the team to domestic and international races, providing hands-on mechanical support under live competition conditions.

You will assemble and adjust suspension, drivetrain, braking, cooling, and chassis components, ensuring correct torque, safety wiring, and adherence to engineering specs.

Qualifications

• Senior level mechanic with IndyCar experience required.
• Prior professional F1 experience preferred in a similar role.
• Experience mentoring junior mechanics is essential.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, and service suspension, drivetrain, braking, cooling, and chassis components.
• Lead setup changes with engineers and ensure safety standards are met.
• Mentor junior mechanics and provide hands-on training in race prep.
• Monitor part usage, keep precise records, and prepare for travel to events.
• Support pit operations and ensure safe transport of vehicles and equipment.
