Team Penske is seeking a Performance Engineer to support IndyCar vehicle performance at races and test events in Mooresville, NC. You will assist with vehicle setup, data analysis, simulation, and development tasks to optimize performance and help drivers push the car to its limits.

The role requires motorsports engineering experience, trackside exposure, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate closely with Race Engineers and the broader engineering team to deliver measurable

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering required or equivalent.
• Motorsports engineering background strongly preferred.
• IndyCar, NASCAR, IMSA, WEC or F1 championships experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Contributes to IndyCar car performance at Race and Test events.
• Assist in vehicle setup, driver coaching, and data review in real-time.
• Develop and maintain software and math for performance optimization.
• Perform pre-, post-, and real-time data reduction with Race Engineer.
• Participate in wind tunnel and post-event testing as required.
