Reading Area Community College is seeking an Industry Specialist Instructor to deliver hands-on technical instruction in lab environments, focusing on Automation & Robotics and related labs. You will ensure safety standards and adapt curriculum to industry needs while supporting student success and program growth.
The role requires industry credentials or an AAS/BS degree, 3+ years of experience, and the ability to teach and mentor students.

Salary: $37.00 per hour
Working Hours: Shift: As needed to provide lab coverage, may work as a substitute instructor. Coverage may include evening hours 3:30 pm – 7:30 pm. Note: The working hours during any given day will not be divided so as to require the employee to report to work more than one time unless agreed upon by both parties.
To provide technical instruction and hands‑on skills support for Industry focused technical training in a lab environment. Ensure all safety standards and protocols are observed. This position will cover Automation & Robotics and any other labs as needed.

To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Internet skills.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals and geometry.
