Job description

Are you a highly technical sales professional with a deep understanding of industrial systems and a passion for driving business growth? Horizon Systems is looking for a strategic and results-oriented Industry Sales Manager to expand our market reach and deliver value-added material handling solutions to our customers. This role requires a deep understanding of industrial equipment and process systems, and the ability to translate complex technical requirements into tailored solutions for our customers.

The Role: Driving Technical Sales Excellence

As an Industry Sales Manager, you will be at the forefront of our growth strategy, leveraging your technical expertise and business acumen to develop new opportunities and strengthen client relationships. Your primary responsibilities will be:

  • Proactively identifying, qualifying, and capitalizing on new business opportunities through market research, networking, and customer engagement.
  • Building and nurturing long-term customer relationships, positioning Horizon Systems as a trusted partner.
  • Negotiating and structuring deals that align with both customer needs and company objectives.
  • Diagnosing complex customer challenges and engineering tailored solutions that drive efficiency and performance.
  • Working cross-functionally with engineering, project management, and operations teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Educating and consulting with customers, translating technical details into clear, compelling business value propositions.
  • Continuously refining sales strategies based on data, customer feedback, and evolving market dynamics.
  • Traveling 25-50% (13 to 26 weeks per year)

  • Ability to read, interpret, and leverage AutoCAD drawings and technical schematics to drive solution-based sales.
  • Stays ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge.
