Job summary

Jobtailor in Illinois, United States seeks an Industry 4.0 Engineer to design and implement IoT-driven solutions and digital twins across manufacturing processes.

Job description

  • Design and implement Industry 4.0 solutions, including IoT devices, automation systems, and digital twins, to optimize manufacturing processes
  • Develop and deploy data analytics platforms to monitor real-time performance, predict maintenance needs, and improve decision-making
  • Analyze existing processes and recommend improvements using Industry 4.0 technologies to reduce waste and increase efficiency
  • Work with AI, IT, operations, and engineering teams to align Industry 4.0 initiatives with business goals
  • Provide training to staff on new systems and technologies, ensuring smooth adoption and operation
  • Stay updated on emerging Industry 4.0 trends and technologies to drive continuous improvement
Requirements
  • US citizen or green card holder per client requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing, automation, or industrial engineering, with at least 2 years focused on Industry 4.0 technologies
  • Proficiency in IoT platforms (e.g., MQTT, OPC UA), UNS, and industrial communication protocols
  • Experience with automation tools (e.g., PLC programming, HMI, MES, SCADA systems)
  • Knowledge of data analytics tools (e.g., Python, R, SQL) and machine learning frameworks
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Snowflake) and digital twin technologies
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles for industrial systems
  • Certification in Industry 4.0, IoT, Ignition Core/Gold, or AWS Cloud Practitioner preferred
  • Experience with manufacturing in industrial applications preferred
