Job description

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Program Industrialization Manager (PIM) to serve as the key industrial representative within our Integrated Program Team (IPT). In this role, you will lead the bridge between product design, supply chain, and manufacturing operations—ensuring product/process convergence, managing industrialization budgets, driving APQP processes, and scaling manufacturing capability to meet rate, cost, and schedule commitments.

Key Responsibilities
Program Representation & Leadership
  • Act as the primary industrial representative within the program team and Integrated Program Team (IPT).
  • Ensure industrial commitments align with program tollgates, schedules, and overall business strategy.
  • Partner with Supply Chain IPT members to ensure component deliveries support critical milestones and track progress proactively.
  • Support, mentor, and potentially lead junior Program Industrialization Managers (PIM 1).
Design, Industrialization & Development (DEV)
  • Plan and prepare manufacturing resources, equipment, and capacity to meet technical specifications, target production rates, and cost targets.
  • Formulate and implement industrial strategy, including Make vs. Buy decisions and industrial schemes.
  • Manage industrialization budgets, non-recurring costs (NRC), and risk mitigation throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Coordinate cross-functional engineering and manufacturing activities to ensure product/process convergence.
  • Participate in MER and PROMPT development reviews, and coordinate Industrialization Reviews completed by Industrialization Leaders.
Manufacturing Performance & Quality Assurance
  • Oversee industrial process performance, cost targets, and recurring cost reduction plans.
  • Manage production issues, drive root-cause resolution, and lead recovery plans to ensure timely customer delivery and quality compliance.
  • Govern design and industrialization quality processes (e.g., APQP) to maintain continuous quality standards.
  • Serve as the delegated industrial point of contact for customer interactions under the Program Director.
Change Management & Best Practices
  • Manage and execute design and industrial scheme changes across internal teams and the supply chain, ensuring consistency from "as planned" to "as built.".
  • Leverage best practices, systematically capture manufacturing know-how, and implement lessons learned to optimize future industrial strategies.
  • Perform other program-related duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field (Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace/Aeronautics, or Electrical Engineering) + 5 years of manufacturing/industrial engineering experience, OR
  • Associate Degree in a technical field + 6 years of related experience, OR
  • 12+ years of job-related manufacturing and industrial engineering experience in lieu of a degree.
Technical Skills & Knowledge
  • New Product Introduction (NPI): Strong background in product development stages, industrialization strategies, and exposure to new product development programs.
  • Quality & Engineering Standards: Solid working knowledge of APQP processes, industrial standards, design specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Supply Chain & Operations: Practical understanding of manufacturing technologies, logistics, supply chain dynamics, and vendor coordination.
  • Financial Acumen: Ability to analyze and manage recurring production costs, non-recurring expenses, and identify cost-reduction opportunities.
Core Competencies
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects, mitigate industrial risks, and balance competing program priorities.
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and cross-functional communication skills across internal engineering, operations, supply chain, and external clients.
