Job summary

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or 3–5 years of relevant experience and/or equivalent education.
• Automotive engineering exposure with experience in molding, bonding, soldering, assembly, or stamping is preferred.
• Hands-on with machinery and strong mechanical/electrical/pneumatic troubleshooting ability.
• Proficient in GD&T and tolerance stacks; able to interpret complex drawings.
• Analytical problem-solving using 5 Why and root cause analysis with timely decisions.
• Strong communication, written/oral, and ability to work cross-functionally.
• Proficient with MS Office and CAD tools; familiarity with Excel for data analysis.
• Highly organized, capable of prioritizing, and willing to extend hours when needed.
• Commitment to ongoing education and quantitative thinking across math disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Lead process development and industrialization of new programs and launches.
• Architect process flows and define operations for quotes and launches.
• Drive PFMEA with cross-functional partners to anticipate failures and controls.
• Specify, purchase, and commission new equipment; manage rollout on the shop floor.
• Develop Standardized Work and Job Element Sheets to sustain stable operations.
• Coordinate trials, handoffs, and project timelines as primary contact.
• Research new technologies and lead CI and development projects.
• Maintain plant layout drawings and CAD updates in collaboration with operations.
• Influence design with sales to enable manufacturable, cost-effective solutions.
• Communicate major updates and corrective actions to leadership; document lessons learned.
• Benchmark internally and externally to capture best practices; promote lean culture.
• Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and safety regulations; train teams.
