Job summary

The Energy Cooperative in Newark, Ohio, is seeking a skilled Welder for our Hebron, OH Service Center. This non-exempt, bargaining-unit position involves construction and maintenance of the gas system, requiring independence and high responsibility.

A valid Ohio driver’s license is required. Responsibilities include installing hot tap fittings, fabricating and welding pipe and fittings, fusing plastic piping, and assisting in pipeline installation and repair.

Qualifications

• Education and experience expectations include a high school diploma or GED with a minimum of five years welding experience.
• Candidate must pass welding certification tests per company procedures and maintain re-certification requirements.
• Valid Ohio driver's license with good driving record; CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install hot tap fittings for commercial and industrial meter and regulator stations.
• Fabricate, weld pipe and fittings per procedures in shop or on site.
• Fuse plastic pipe and fittings per procedures on site or in shop.
• Participate in installation and repair of pipeline systems as part of a crew.
