Job summary

Steffes Solutions, LLC is seeking an on-site welder to operate welding tools and read blueprints. The role requires the ability to interpret drawings, heat numbers, and follow weld procedures to meet customer specifications.

Qualifications

• Welder with ability to operate various welding tools and hand tools.
• Able to read drawings, blueprints, and heat numbers.
• Proficient with basic computer applications (Windows, email, internet).
• Strong basic math and reading comprehension.

Responsibilities

• Operate welding tools and hand tools (die grinders, angle grinders).
• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and heat numbers as applicable.
• Follow standard work, training guides, weld procedures, and acceptance criteria to meet customer requirements.
• Possibly operate basic robot functions: loading/unloading parts, starting/stopping robot, TPM tasks, notify lead if welds are out of tolerance.
• Support Kanban and build board requirements and report defects or inconsistencies.
• Adjust fab parts for proper alignment and maintain safety and quality standards.
• Maintain a positive, collaborative atmosphere with customers, suppliers, coworkers, and management.
• Overtime may be required depending on production needs.
• Other duties as assigned.
