Job summary

Aireko Services & Installation is seeking an experienced welder to join our structural piping team in Puerto Rico. The role requires skilled welding across multiple metals, soldering copper pipe, and executing complex mechanical installations per engineered directions.

You will read construction drawings, lay out piping, and ensure all work aligns with specifications while maintaining a safe, organized work area and supporting tool and material orders with site management.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience across two or more skilled trades.
• Current welding certifications; requalification may be required.
• Strong safety knowledge and OSHA 30HRS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Expertly welds small, medium, and large bore pipe of various metals and alloys.
• Solders and brazes of copper pipe.
• Performs complex mechanical installations per engineering direction.
• Reads and comprehends construction drawings and specifications.
• Lays out and installs piping, equipment, and other mechanical systems in compliance with drawings.
• Marks up construction drawings and specifications with as-built status.
• Works with engineers and site managers to order tools, equipment, and materials.
• Collaborates with other crews and lead persons.
• Maintains responsibility for all tools and equipment assigned to the group.
• Follows safety rules and maintains a clean, safe work environment.
