Job summary

Peninsula Iron Works in Eugene, OR is seeking an experienced Welder to join our heavy industrial manufacturing team. You will perform MIG and flux-core welding, read blueprints, fabricate and weld structural steel and heavy components to spec, and support large-scale repair projects.

You should be able to set up welding equipment, use grinders, rig heavy materials with overhead cranes, and maintain a safe, clean work area. Overtime and weekend work may be required to meet project timelines.

Qualifications

• MIG and Flux Core welding experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols.
• Experience with structural steel and heavy plate.
• Willingness to work overtime/weekends.
• Commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG, Flux Core welding in a heavy industrial environment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and drawings.
• Fabricate, fit, and weld structural steel to specification.
• Set up and operate welding equipment, grinders, and related tools.
• Inspect welds to ensure quality standards are met.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and PPE compliance.
