Job summary

Trinity Employment Specialists in Beaumont, TX seeks an experienced welder for an industrial manufacturing environment. You will read blueprints and AutoCAD drawings, set up and operate welding equipment, and weld components for heat exchangers, pressure vessels, and towers in compliance with procedures and codes.

The role requires maintaining weld quality, completing tasks safely and efficiently, and collaborating with Quality Control to ensure standards are met.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Welding experience in an industrial manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, AutoCAD drawings, weld procedures, and weld symbols.
• Ability to successfully complete required weld qualification testing and maintain applicable code weld stamps.
• Ability to perform weld repairs, including grinding and air carbon arc gouging.
• Ability to follow welding procedures and produce welds that meet applicable quality standards and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
• Ability to work effectively with coworkers, supervisors, and Quality Control personnel.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements while working on the shop floor.
• Read and interpret blueprints, AutoCAD drawings, weld procedures, and weld symbols.
• Set up and operate welding equipment and perform required welding processes.
• Weld components for heat exchangers, pressure vessels, and towers according to approved procedures and applicable codes.
• Maintain a weld X-ray repair rate of less than 5%.
• Inspect welds and perform necessary grinding, gouging, and repairs to correct weld defects.
• Work with Quality Control to ensure welds meet required specifications and quality standards.
• Maintain required weld qualifications and code weld stamps.
• Complete assigned work within established timeframes while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and properly care for tools and equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
