Job summary

EmployHQ is seeking an experienced welder to interpret blueprints and plan layouts, welding copper plumbing, beams, and pipelines. You will assess welded surfaces for quality and oversee machinery, ensuring safe operation and adherence to safety standards.

The role requires at least 2 years of welding experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and preferably a welding certificate. Knowledge of welding machinery, electrical equipment, and manuals is essential for success.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of welding experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Welding certificate from an accredited institution is preferred
• Excellent knowledge of welding machinery, electrical equipment, and manual tools
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and designs

Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements to plan layouts.
• Weld small and large components such as copper plumbing, beams, and pipelines.
• Assess welded surfaces, structures and components to identify errors.
• Weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions.
• Use specialized machinery for industrial welding and oversee machines that perform the same job.
• Maintain and repair welding machinery.
• Follow and enforce strict safety regulations such as wearing heat-resistant gloves, protective masks, and safety shoes.
• Monitor machinery for appropriate usage and temperature.
