Job summary

Seven Seas Water Corporation seeks an Applications Engineer to drive the technical front of our industrial Water-as-a-Service offerings. You will design treatment flowsheets, price projects from the ground up, and serve as the main technical contact for prospects’ engineers and plant managers.

A strong supplier network and ground-up estimating are essential as you own the proposal content and guarantees. Based in Tampa, FL or Houston, TX, the role involves 20–30% travel to sites and pilot work,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Environmental, or Civil Engineering.
• 10+ years in industrial water and wastewater treatment in an applications, process, or proposal engineering role.
• Experience with industrial clients and their waste streams.
• Knowledge of major unit operations: MBR, SBR, MBBR, anaerobic, DAF, clarification, UF, RO, AOP, ozone, UV, PFAS, dewatering.
• Working supplier network across these technologies.
• Experience writing equipment scopes of work and negotiating process guarantees.
• Ground-up estimating: PFD development and capital estimating.

Responsibilities

• Translate influent and effluent requirements into a complete treatment flowsheet and design basis.
• Price jobs from the ground up and develop capital estimates.
• Lead technical bid evaluations and select suppliers based on lifecycle value.
• Be the technical voice in front of customers and their engineers/plant managers during the sales cycle.
• Own the technical content of proposals: processes, flowsheets, guarantees, and exclusions.
