Job summary

Dennis Group is seeking an Environmental/Industrial Wastewater Engineer to join our environmental engineering team. You will work with civil, process, mechanical, and architectural professionals to scope, design, and commission industrial wastewater systems for food and beverage clients.

The role involves developing project scope and budgets, performing site audits, and optimizing treatment processes. Occasional travel between 20% and 40% of the year is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Chemical, Civil, or Process Engineering.
• Fundamental understanding of wastewater treatment and air emissions.
• Experience with industrial wastewater treatment is preferred.
• Knowledge of biological treatment processes (activated sludge, anaerobic digestion, DAF, MBR).
• Experience with environmental permitting and regulatory compliance.
• Strong communication skills and ability to lead cross‑functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop scope, budget, and schedule for environmental work.
• Conduct site audits to aid site selection decisions.
• Design and optimize wastewater treatment processes and utilities.
• Prepare process flow and P&ID diagrams.
• Coordinate construction and commissioning of treatment facilities.
• Travel 20–40% of the year for site work and visits.
