Job summary

Dennis Group is seeking an Environmental/Industrial Wastewater Engineer to join our environmental engineering group. You will work with civil, process, mechanical, and architectural professionals to scope, design, lay out, install, and commission wastewater systems for food and beverage clients.

The role requires on‑site coordination, travel 20‑40% of the year, and close collaboration with project teams to deliver compliant, efficient treatment solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Chemical, Civil, or Process Engineering.
• Industrial wastewater treatment experience required.
• Knowledge of biological treatment processes (activated sludge, anaerobic digestion, DAF, MBR).
• Permitting/regulatory compliance experience with agencies.
• Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Scope project work, budgets and schedules for environmental tasks.
• Conduct site audits and assist with site selection decisions.
• Design and optimize wastewater treatment processes.
• Prepare process flow and piping diagrams.
• Size and specify air and wastewater treatment systems.
• Proficient wastewater mass balance calculations.
• Procure equipment and evaluate bids; coordinate construction.
• Oversee startup, commissioning and on‑site project coordination with travel 20–40%.
