Job summary

Ramboll in the Americas is seeking an Engineer to join the Water & Wastewater Engineering Department. You will design industrial wastewater treatment systems, perform field work and testing, participate in permitting, and assist with proposals and reports. Travel to sites in the U.S. and abroad may be required.

You will contribute to projects focusing on discharge impacts, stormwater management, and water resources planning, collaborating with senior engineers and clients worldwide.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree in civil, chemical, environmental or mechanical fields. Advanced degrees a plus.
• EIT certification preferred
• On track to take PE licensure exam or existing PE licensure a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare preliminary and detailed engineering design of industrial wastewater treatment systems.
• Conduct treatability laboratory experiments, pilot scale testing, and field work.
• Participate in treatment plant operations and troubleshooting.
• Focus on discharge impacts on receiving waters.
• Support wastewater and stormwater permitting efforts.
• Assist senior staff with proposals and reports.
• Monitor construction phases of projects.
• Support stormwater management programs.
• Conduct stormwater and wastewater sampling events.
• Perform engineering calculations and develop hydrologic/hydraulic models.
• Assisting senior staff with preparing proposals and technical reports, including compiling analytical data.
• Conduct travel/field work (daytime and overnight, usually in U.S.).
