Job summary

Ferguson is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor in Bakersfield to lead a small warehouse team and oversee inbound and outbound logistics. You will manage hiring, training, and development to keep operations productive and accurate while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The role reports to the Branch Manager and offers an hourly pay rate based on experience. Expect responsibilities including coordinating unloading, stocking, picking, and shipping with attention to detail and timeliness.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in warehouse operations and supervision
• Certification for Material Handling Equipment is required
• Knowledge of OSHA and DOT regulations
• Valid DOT Medical card and driver’s license required
• 21+ years of age and valid state license

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, and develop warehouse associates for productivity.
• Supervise unloading, stocking, picking, and shipping with accuracy.
• Maintain clean, space-efficient warehouse and inventory accuracy.
• Ensure cycle counts and security of personnel and equipment.
• May perform back-up driving duties.

Ferguson is currently seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to join our team!

Schedule: Monday- Friday 7am - 5pm

Hourly Rate Based On Experience.

Position Details

• Reports to Branch Manager
• Direct oversight of 3 associates

Responsibilities

• Maintain and develop a productive warehouse by hiring, training and providing professional development for all of its associates
• Supervise and coordinate unloading and stocking of inbound shipments and the picking and shipping of outbound orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness with both product and paperwork
• Ensure warehouse space is used effectively and kept clean and orderly
• Ensure integrity of inventory and confirm that cycle counts are completed
• Maintain security of warehouse and safety of all associates and equipment, reporting any accidents and conveying any issues to branch management
• May be responsible for providing back-up driver duties and responsibilities.

Qualifications

• A strong background in Warehouse operations and logistics, including shipping, receiving, delivery, and inventory is required
• 3-5 years of Industrial warehouse management or supervisory experience
• Material Handling Equipment Certification plus
• Proficiency in OSHA and DOT regulations
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid state issued license is required.
• Follow all DOT standards and regulations
• Must currently, have, acquire, and/or maintain a valid DOT Medical card in order to meet driver requirements.
• Excellent judgment and decision-making abilities
• Great communication skills and the ability and desire to lead a team

Pay Range:

$17.14 - $37.24

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
