Job summary

Aerotek seeks a Construction Laborer / Warehouse Loader in Troy, MI to safely load, move, and stage heavy metal materials in a steel warehouse. You will operate sit-down forklifts, pallet jacks, and overhead cranes, ensure precise measurements to 1/8 inch, and support saw operators and shipping.

Overtime opportunities arise after training. The role is contract-to-hire with 2nd and 3rd shift options (3:00 PM–11:00 PM or 11:00 PM–7:00 AM).

Qualifications

• Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately, including precise increments.
• At least 1 year of experience operating a sit-down forklift in industrial settings.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and handle heavy materials safely.
• Experience with loading, staging, and moving products in warehouse/production environments.

Responsibilities

• Load and move metal materials to saw operators using sit-down forklifts, pallet jacks, and cranes.
• Transport finished products from saw area to shipping/receiving for delivery prep.
• Assist in saw operations by loading materials and measuring to specified sizes.
• Use a tape measure with precision down to 1/8-inch increments for cuts and handling.
• Inspect equipment and report issues to ensure safety.
