Badger Meter, Inc. in Birmingham, AL is seeking an Industrial Vacuum Truck Operator to handle, position, and operate vacuum equipment in industrial settings.

You will drive vacuum trucks, assist with set up of cleaning equipment, and ensure safety and compliance on site. The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent, a valid Class B CDL (Class A preferred), tanker endorsement (or willingness to obtain soon after hire), and the ability to work on manual shift trucks.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Class B CDL (Class A preferred).
• Tanker endorsement required or must be obtained shortly after hire.
• No automatic restriction; must be legally permitted to operate a manual shift truck.

Responsibilities

• Drives and operates Liquid Vacuum Truck and/or Air mover vehicles.
• Assists with set up of all necessary cleaning equipment such as high-pressure pumps, in service line hydro-blasting equipment and Tank Cleaning equipment such as hoses and pumps.
• Completes all safety paperwork and complies with all operational training, guidelines, and procedures.
• Works safely around heavy machinery in loud, hazardous, and industrial environments.
• Assists in inspecting equipment, hoses, connections, pumps, and general work area before starting any job. Inform crew lead or supervisor of deficiencies, which may cause accidents, injuries, or lost productivity.
