Job summary

Action Environmental in Alabama is seeking an Equipment Operator to safely drive Class A/B trucks and operate vacuum and hydroblasting equipment to perform environmental and industrial cleaning at customer sites. The role emphasizes safety, DOT compliance, and precise documentation, including pre-trip inspections, DVIRs, and DOT logs. On-call duties may include nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A or Class B CDL with acceptable driving record.
• Must meet DOT physical qualification requirements.
• Ability to pass DOT drug screening requirements.
• Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience preferred.
• Ability to travel as needed, including overnight travel.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and on-call schedules.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class A or Class B commercial vehicles per DOT regulations.
• Transport equipment, tools, and materials to job sites.
• Operate industrial cleaning equipment (vacuum trucks, hydroblasting, etc.).
• Perform industrial cleaning services (tank cleaning, hydro excavation, etc.).
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Complete DVIRs, driver logs, and DOT documents.
• Inspect equipment for safe operation.
• Load, secure, transport, unload equipment safely.
• Follow OSHA, EPA, DOT, and company safety rules.
• Wear and maintain PPE.
• Assist with equipment setup, maintenance, cleanup.
• Communicate with supervisors, customers, and team.
• Respond to emergency projects, including nights/weekends/holidays.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
