U. S. Steel's Mon Valley Works in Clairton is seeking an entry-level Utility Person who learns the mill, supports production teams, and advances toward a Utility Technician role operating material-handling equipment.

Step onto the mill floor at one of Mon Valley Works' three sites - Clairton Works, Irvin Works, or Edgar Thomson Works and you'll immediately see how our Utility Persons keep production moving. You'll handle tools, support maintenance, and work alongside experienced teammates in a heavy industrial setting where safety is paramount.
In this entry-level role, you'll begin as a Utility Person, learning the mill, assisting production and service units, and supporting equipment upkeep. After on-the-job training, you'll progress to the Utility Technician level, operating material-handling equipment such as overhead and mobile cranes of various sizes and types, tractors, trucks, dozers, loaders, boom trucks, and feeders.
Start as a Utility Person and, after brief on-the-job training, move into a Utility Technician position with increased responsibility operating material handling equipment across the mill.
