Job summary

TEXAS LEHIGH CEMENT COMPANY LP in Houston, TX is seeking a Utility Operator to perform labor, cleaning, equipment operation, and plant support to keep operations safe, efficient, and continuous. The role supports multiple departments and general cleanup throughout the plant.

Essential duties include cleaning and operating various equipment, conducting pre-shift inspections, and maintaining safety standards. 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in a related manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
• Must be able to pass background checks, physical examination, and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Perform general clean-up duties using hand tools and powered equipment.
• Clean plant and mobile equipment; unplug chutes, feeders, belts.
• Perform janitorial and groundskeeping duties; maintain clean work areas.
• Provide relief for other positions and perform additional duties as assigned.
• Operate mobile equipment including forklifts, dump trucks, Bobcats, loaders, haulers, sweepers, and lifts.
• Observe all safety policies and maintain safe, organized work areas.
• Conduct pre-shift inspections and report any malfunctions or repairs needed.
• Other duties as assigned by supervision.
