Glanbia Nutritionals Inc. is seeking a Utility Maintenance Mechanic at the Gooding Cheese Plant to ensure the reliable operation of ammonia refrigeration, HVAC, boiler, and water systems.

The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, and safe, compliant practices in a dairy processing environment. The position requires English fluency, strong communication, and a hands-on approach to maintaining critical plant infrastructure, with willingness to work nights and weekends

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or GED; relevant certifications preferred.
• Experience in maintenance of dairy processing equipment is a plus.
• Must read and write English; ability to document and communicate clearly.
• Willing to work nights/weekends/overtime as required.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety requirements is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance on ammonia refrigeration, HVAC, boilers, and water systems.
• Diagnoses mechanical issues using precision instruments.
• Disassembles equipment, replaces defective parts, and tests performance.
• Maintains inventory and procures parts as needed.
• Maintains maintenance logs and documents trends.
• Adheres to safety and food safety regulations.
