Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals seeks an Industrial Tool Specialist to drive profitable tool equipment rentals and expand regional revenue. The role targets new customers, manages projects, and coordinates with Industrial Services to implement best practices on site.

You will develop market opportunities, identify customer needs, and ensure safety standards while collaborating with national accounts and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience with 2–5 years in heavy equipment sales or project management.
• Strong project management, new business development, and customer retention skills.
• Ability to present to management and conduct business reviews.
• Knowledge of Industrial Tool equipment and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Set district & regional goals to grow Industrial Tool revenue in the region.
• Identify revenue opportunities within the industrial sector to meet goals.
• Grow revenue within Industrial Tool equipment in the region by prospecting new customers.
• Identify customer fleet, safety expectations, and implement purchasing and equipment procedures.
• Develop new market opportunities and understand market dynamics and key customers.
• Coordinate with Industrial Services PMs to apply best practices on site and during outages.
• Stay current on safety requirements within plants and facilities.
• Pass leads and opportunities to colleagues and align with National Accounts.

Develops and maximizes market share within the industrial segment with a heavy emphasis on growing the revenue and profitability of the Industrial Tool Locations within the Industrial Services Region.Position Responsibilities:Establish district & regional goals and objectives to grow Industrial Tool revenue opportunities within the industrial sectorDevelop and implement strategies to identify revenue opportunities within the industrial sector to meet district and/or regional goals and objectivesGrow the revenue within the Industrial Tool cat/classes of equipment within the assigned Region by prospecting and obtaining new customersIdentify customer’s fleet, quality and safety expectations and provide direction for implementation of these requirements in purchasing, equipment maintenance procedures and on-site project managementIdentify and develop new market opportunities as well as understand market dynamics, customer segmentation and key customersDevelop operational efficiencies pertaining to outages and turnarounds. Work alongside Industrial Services Project Managers to implement best practices during on-site project execution.Stay abreast of changing safety requirements within Industrial plants and facilitiesCommunicate with other Industrial Tool Specialists to pass leads, ideas and opportunitiesCommunicate and integrate assigned Industrial National Accounts and/or Master Service Agreements within the Industrial Services RegionRequirements:Education & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience plus 2-5 years of direct sales and/or project management experience within the heavy equipment industry requiredIndustrial Tool equipment background preferredStrong project management, new business development and customer retention skills a mustMust be a results-driven sales professionalStrong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively give presentations and business reviews to management.Working knowledge of different phases of Industrial construction & maintenance, equipment applications, features, benefits, operation and specificationDemonstrated strong mechanical aptitude and abilityHighly organized and able to handle multiple opportunities and clients concurrentlyBase Pay Range: $42,000.00 - 68,581.80Total compensation package includes base pay, company vehicle, and robust commission plan.Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
