Job summary

Horizon Performance Technologies LLC is seeking a Full-time Industrial Technician to assemble and service thermal processing equipment. You will read mechanical and electrical prints and install control wiring from panels to equipment components.

The role involves field and shop work, light fabrication, sensor installation, and travel to local shops and job sites, all while maintaining safety and quality in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Technical degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Read and comprehend mechanical and electrical engineering prints.
• Assemble industrial wiring from a control panel to locations in and around the equipment.
• Install and align sensors.
• Perform complex assembly operations on large components and subassemblies.
• Rework and/or repair assembled products per engineering specs.
• Perform light fabrication (Drill, Machine, Form, etc.).
• Maintain equipment and clean work environment.
• Follow shop safety policies.
• Local travel to area shops and vendors.
• Local travel to job sites for field assembly.

Job description

Horizon Performance Technologies LLC is an OEM engaged in the design and manufacturing of industrial capital equipment in the heat processing industry including ovens, washers, and material handling. Horizon Performance Technologies LLC is currently seeking a Full-time Industrial Technician.

Under the direction of the Plant Manager, the Industrial Technician takes a mechanical shell of thermal processing, washing, conveyance, or a combination up to completion. Qualified candidates for this position must possess the mechanical and electrical skills to work in a manufacturing capacity to build custom designed equipment.

Responsibilities

• Read and comprehend mechanical and electrical engineering prints
• Assemble industrial wiring from a control panel to locations in and around the equipment
• Install and align sensors
• Perform complex assembly operations on large components and subassemblies, including fans, burners, pumps, conveyors, etc.
• Rework and/or repair assembled products according to engineering specification changes.
• Perform light fabrication (Drill, Machine, Form, etc.)
• Working knowledge and experience with industrial power & control wiring, panel, gas, & steam piping
• Ability to maintain equipment and a clean work environment.
• Follow shop safety policies
• Local travel to area shops and vendors.
• Local travel to job sites for field assembly.

Skills

• Experience with torches, plasma cutters, grinders, etc.
• Working with a variety of structural angle, channel, and tubing.
• Forklifts and rigging.
• Working with mild steel, stainless, black iron and CPVC pipe
• Pneumatics
• All position GMAW (MIG) welding a plus.
• Knowledge and experience with industrial power & control wiring, but not required.

Education

• Technical degree a plus, but not required.
