Job summary

Accurate Personnel is hiring an Industrial Technician in Spartanburg, SC to design, program, troubleshoot, and upgrade automation systems. You will lead maintenance projects, mentor technicians, and ensure equipment reliability for production efficiency.

The ideal candidate has advanced Allen-Bradley PLCs, Studio 5000/RSLogix, HMIs, VFDs, and strong electrical troubleshooting skills, with 6+ years in industrial maintenance and a related degree preferred.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of industrial maintenance experience focused on automation and electrical systems.
  • Advanced experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs, Studio 5000/RSLogix, HMIs, VFDs, and motion control.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, P&IDs, ladder logic, and mechanical blueprints.
  • Strong troubleshooting, project management, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Associate degree or higher in Automation, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design, program, troubleshoot, and upgrade PLC, HMI, motion control, and VFD systems.
  • Build and modify industrial control panels according to NEC standards.
  • Configure and maintain industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, DeviceNet, ControlNet, Profibus).
  • Manage software backups, program revisions, and technical documentation.
  • Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and controls issues to reduce downtime.
  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on automated equipment.
  • Lead root cause analysis (RCFA) and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support equipment installations, modifications, commissioning, startups, and capital projects.
  • Maintain CMMS records and critical spare parts inventory.
  • Mentor maintenance technicians and operators; collaborate with Engineering and Operations.

HIRING IMMEDIATELY: INDUSTRIAL TECHNICIAN IN SPARTANBURG, SC

Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for an Industrial Technician to join our team in Spartanburg, SC. This individual will be responsible for designing, programming, troubleshooting, and upgrading industrial automation and control systems while supporting equipment reliability and production efficiency. The ideal candidate has advanced PLC and controls experience, strong electrical troubleshooting skills, and the ability to lead technical projects and mentor maintenance teams.

Pay, Schedule, and Location
  • $40/hour
  • Excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision
  • 1st Shift: 6:30am to 3:00pm
  • Located in Spartanburg, SC
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Design, program, troubleshoot, and upgrade PLC, HMI, motion control, and VFD systems
  • Build and modify industrial control panels according to NEC standards
  • Configure and maintain industrial networks, including Ethernet/IP, DeviceNet, ControlNet, and Profibus
  • Manage software backups, program revisions, and technical documentation
  • Diagnose complex electrical, mechanical, and controls issues to reduce downtime
  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on automated equipment
  • Lead root cause failure analysis (RCFA) and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support equipment installations, modifications, commissioning, startups, and capital projects
  • Maintain CMMS records and critical spare parts inventory
  • Serve as a technical resource for automation and controls and mentor maintenance technicians and operators
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, vendors, and other cross-functional teams
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA 70E, LOTO, GMP, FDA, and electrical safety standards
Requirements and Qualifications
  • 6+ years of industrial maintenance experience with a strong focus on automation, controls, and electrical systems
  • Advanced experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs, Studio 5000/RSLogix, HMIs, VFDs, and motion control systems
  • Strong knowledge of industrial networks, electrical systems, and control panels
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, P&IDs, ladder logic, and mechanical blueprints
  • Experience with Windows, Microsoft Office, and CMMS systems
  • Strong troubleshooting, project management, communication, and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently and lead complex troubleshooting efforts
  • Associate degree or higher in Automation, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field preferred
  • NFPA 70E, OSHA 10/30, or Rockwell Automation certifications preferred
  • Automated manufacturing experience preferred
